NorthlandStay at the remote Kingfish Lodge, which can only be reached by a 15 minute scenic cruise up the harbour. Akin to the splendour of a fiord or large lake, but in reality a magnificent harbour, bountiful with seasonal oysters, scallops, clams, squid and a variety of delicious fin fish. Spend your day at the lodge, take a canoe on the harbour, picnic on a private beach or try your hand at some deep-sea fishing. All this, and yet for the golfers there are three golf courses within 30 minutes of the resort, and one of these is Kauri Cliffs. Kauri Cliffs was designed and built by David Harman of Golf Course Consultants, Orlando, Florida. The par 72 championship golf course measures 6,412 metres (7,125 yards) and offers four sets of tees to challenge every skill level. Fifteen holes view the Pacific Ocean, and six of these are played alongside cliffs which plunge to the sea. The beautiful inland holes wind through marsh, forest and farmland. |

Hawkes Bay
|
Hawkes Bay is fast becoming one of New Zealand's premier food, wine and lifestyle destinations. Located on the East Coast of the North Island, it is a region not to be missed. With the opening of the new Cape Kidnappers international golf course on the coast in 2003 - it is a golfers paradise. There is so much to see and do from the Art Deco City of Napier to the largest Gannet colony in the world at Cape Kidnappers that the rest of the party can be assured of a fabulous time. There is a wide range of accommodation available from lodges to cottages situated on the vineyards. For great dining, we recommend a meal at Clearwater Estate Winery, just outside of Hastings. |

NelsonNelson consistently rates as the sunniest spot in New Zealand. The beautiful coastline, golden beaches, mountain ranges, lakes and areas of forest offer something for everyone. You can be playing golf in the morning with Georgia and then walking or kayaking in the Abel Tasman National Park in the afternoon before enjoying a fresh seasonal meal in the evening. Nelson is famous for its vibrant arts and crafts scene and the museum is well worth a visit. In recent years, the Wearable Arts Festival has been attracting international attention as a venue for New Zealand's most creative and adventurous designers. There are plenty of accommodation options from spending the night on an orchard or in a colonial residence or in waterfront accommodation with the ocean at your feet. |
